"92pts- RP The NV Brut Empreinte emerges from the glass with beautifully delineated fruit, great body and terrific overall balance. Sweet red berries, flowers and mint are some of the nuances that are woven into a rich fabric of notable class. The Empreinte shows striking depth and purity. 76% Pinot Noir, 14% Chardonnay and 10% Pinot Meunier, allo from the 2006 vintage."
"NYR Rich, smoky aromas of fig, toast and crufffdme brulufffde combined with the sweet straw of the Sauvignon Blanc. This is a powerhouse white wine that is youthful and complex. Pear, straw, honeydew melons and citrus peel flavors expand in the mouth. Silky, creamy textures add to the personality of the wine."
"93 Points- Wine Advocate. Dark purple-colored, it displays a splendid nose of wild flowers, spice box, incense, black cherry and plum. This leads to an elegant, medium-bodied rendition of Malbec with a velvety texture, superb depth and concentration, succulent flavors with notes of chocolate and black pepper making an appearance, and a pure, silky finish. While it will continue to blossom for several more years, it can be enjoyed now."
"93 Points- Wine Enthusiast. This rich Champagne has full apple and crisp citrus flavors that are filled out with toasty bottle age and great depth of flavor. It's mouth-filling and sophisticated. The oval (as distinct from round) bottle is a work of art."
"91 Points- Wine Spectator @ $90. This is an elegant Champagne, with a burgeoning sense of maturity as well as fresh acidity. Flavors of ripe pear are cut with a light touch of lemon while the overall texture is soft and on the sweet side of Brut. It could age a few more years, so drink now and until 2019."
"It gives up a nose of cedar, spice box, floral notes, black currant, and blackberry. This leads to a forward, easy-going wine with a solid core of fruit. Aromatic flavors of cassis and rhubarb, round, soft, long finish."
"96 Pts- WE. The combination is incredibly sumptuous, offering layers of blueberry and blackberry fruit intermingled elegantly with hints of French vanilla. It's long, subtle and complex on the finish- a stunning effort. It's approachable now, but should age well through 2030 or so."
"93 pts - Robert Parker A blend of 86% Merlot and 14% Cabernet Franc harvested between September 13-29, it displays a deep ruby/purple color in addition to a sweet bouquet of chocolate, black currants, cherries, licorice, and incense. Velvety tannins, seemingly low acidity, but high concentration and richness make for a stunning wine. This beauty will be ready to drink in 3-5 years, and should keep for 20-25 years."
"94 WS Pear, floral and apricot notes permeate this elegant white, whose texture is light and airy, despite the intense sweetness. Picks up honey and caramel accents on the finish. Drink now through 2035. 50 cases made."
"94 to 96 pts. Robert Parker The refuge of the Lur Saluces family after selling their beloved Yquem, this is an Yquemlike wine that sells for a fraction of the price fetched for the most famous wine of the region. Rich, honeyed citrus along with creme brulee, vanillin, sweet caramelized pineapple and citrus notes are followed by a wine with an unctuously thick, viscous, full bodied mouthfeel, but with good enough acidity to balance out the wines enormous weight, richness, and concentration. This should be a 30+ year wine."
