KENWOOD CABERNET SAUVIGNON ARTIST SERIES

"The finest lots of Cabernet Sauvignon were selected from Kenwood's hillside vineyards located in Sonoma Valley's Mayacamas range. This intense mountain Cabernet Sauvignon was blended with a small percentage of Malbec, Merlot and Cabernet Franc from the rich soil of the Sonoma Valley floor to add body and ripe fruit qualities to the wine. It is a rich, concentrated wine with aromas of red currants, black cherries and plums followed by aromatic notes of French oak, spice and black licorice. It exhibits excellent structure that is characterized by its full-bodied mouth feel, smooth tannins and lingering, silky finish."

L'EGLISE CLINET [POMEROL]

"90pts-WS Blackberry and dark chocolate aromas follow through to a medium-bodied palate, with silky tannins and a pretty, delicate finish. Very nice texture and refinement to this wine. I thought this would have evolved even better in barrel. Best after 2008. 1,125 cases made."

LES FORTS DE LATOUR

"92 Points - Robert Parker, Jr. A classic second wine that shows outstanding potential, the dark ruby/purple-colored 2002 has notes of cedar wood, black currants, earth, and truffles in a medium to full-bodied, supple-textured, beautifully concentrated style."

MARGAUX [MARGAUX]

"93 Points - Robert Parker, Jr. Performing better from bottle than at any time in cask (which of course is the objective of great winemaking, isn't it?), this wine reveals a dense ruby/purple color in a style somewhat reminiscent of the 1988 but with more power, concentration, and volume. It has a beautifully elegant nose of black fruits intermixed with truffle, flower, and oak. The wine is medium to full-bodied, dense, with wonderful precision, freshness, and a long, full-bodied finish with impressive levels of concentration. Anticipated maturity: 2010-2030."

PALMER [MARGAUX]

"94 Points - Robert Parker, Jr. A successful wine for the vintage, this blend of 52% Cabernet Sauvignon, 40% Merlot, and 8% Petit Verdot boasts complex notes of menthol, black currants, plums, licorice, and a hint of cappuccino in its stunning aromatics. Dense, medium to full-bodied, with high levels of tannin in a big, full-bodied style (much in the spirit of such classic Bordeaux vintages as 1966, 1986, and 1996), this wine possesses superb purity and serious length, but should be purchased only by those with considerable patience and a good, cold cellar, since it will need plenty of time. Anticipated maturity: 2012-2028."

PICHON BARON [PAUILLAC]

"93 Points - Wine Spectator. Dense aromas of licorice, tobacco, cedar and currants. Subtle yet complex. Full-bodied, with silky tannins and a rich, long finish. Very pretty. One of the best from Pauillac this year, and clearly better than 2001. One of the surprises of the vintage."
