"Starlight Distillerys Reserve Brandy is made from our finest estate-grown grapes. We keep to old world tradition by aging the spirit in French oak barrels for a minimum of 5 years. This adds rich structure and complexity to compliment the bold fruit bursting out of each glass."
"94 Points- Robert Parker. It is my opinion that Taylor's tawny ports are the best of their type. When tasted against other tawnys, they all exhibit more aromatic personalities, greater fruit and ripeness, and a wonderful sweetness and length. The Ten Year Old Tawny is a personal favorite, as well as the best bargain among these ports"
"90pts-WE A hugely rich, sweet wine, full of concentration and very ripe fruit flavors. This is the classic Fonseca style, all richness and depth of flavor. There's power here, but it is all clothed in acidity and great fruits."
"95 Points- Wine Advocate. Big, weighty and mouth filling, this is an aromatic Tawny that finishes with acidity and tension. Gripping on the finish, its flavors become more interesting as long as it sits in the glass (or on your palate). Comparing to the Taylor 30, the 30 is a bit fleshier while this 40 is a bit more concentrated in flavor and aromatics. Perhaps some additional age also helped this 40 combat some of the aggression on the 30. It is still a fine experience and my favorite of the group. Drink between 58-62 degrees Fahrenheit."
"92-95 WA Blackberry, Seville orange marmelade, blueberries, and dried fig - complex and quite compelling. There is a real minerality within this bouquet that, returning after 30 minutes, offers alluring ocean spray scents rolling in off the sea. The palate is medium bodied with a velvety smooth opening that belies the fine, structured tannins underneath."
"The 2007 Fonseca is maturing nicely, with a perfumed, high toned, rich bouquet of macerated black cherries, blueberry, creme de cassis and vanilla. The palate is very harmonious with plush dark cherry fruit, fresh fig, salted licorice and a supple, rounded, spicy finish that delivers wonderful purity and length."
"90Pts. Wine Spectator Fresh and grapey, with plenty of grip and power behind dark plum, chocolate and berry flavors that feature slate and pepper notes."
"Peppery aromas, with lots of crushed berries. Medium- to full-bodied, with light sweetness and a soft, round tannic structure. Not on the same level as the fabulous 2000. Best after 2010. 3,000 cases made. 90 pts. - WS"
"93 pts Wine Advocate The purple/black 2011 Quinta do Roriz Vintage Port displays a pleasing perfume of violets, incense, spice box, and assorted black fruits. On the palate it has excellent volume with plenty of round, layered, succulent fruit and an overall friendly personality. Impeccably balanced, this mid-weight Port will evolve for 10-12 years and drink well through 2027."
"90 Points- Wine & Spirits. Fresher in style than the Warrior of the '90s, this blend is bright and vibrant, filled with luscious fruit inflected by the black pepper of schisty tannins. It's like a small-scale vintage, beautifully balanced."
